Bridging the gap to advocacy, mentorship and resources

Wondering how you got here?

That’s a question that has sat at the front of my mind since I first decided to embark on this journey with you all. I seemed to gather a simple phrase- “WE CARE!”

My answer to how you got here is certain; you have hope, you are courageous beyond all adversities, you have lived through your traumas, you acknowledge your mistakes, and now you are ready for what is next!

Hi all-

Check out our events!

Here at Breaking Chains we have many amazing events scheduled throughout the year. Please take a look at our our calendar, or check out our Events page to see what great things we have planned!

Mentorship

Breaking Chains offers a mentorships program for youth ages 10-17 who are probation bound or have had interaction with the court system. The idea behind this mentorship is to allow our children to expand their support system, while navigating through these challenging experiences. Within this mentorship we want to build solid foundations of trust to help establish long lasting healthy relationships. If you are a possible mentee or mentor candidate, please clink the link below to be forwarded to our application. We look forward to hearing from you!

Advocacy

Along with supporting our youth, Breaking Chains is here to Advocate for Juvenile Justice. The Juvenile justice system has been a hot topic for many years. Many articles and research prove that our youth do not receive the proper representation within the court system. “Though overall rates have been steadily declining over the past years, approximately 423,077 delinquency cases are adjudicated and disposed in juvenile courts annually”( youth.gov). If you or someone you may know are interested in joining us as we move forward in advocating for our youth, please reach out to us directly. This army needs you!
